7 Mistakes a Bride Makes During Her Wedding Week
This is it. You’ve been dreaming of this day for years. You are so excited to start this new chapter with the love of your life.
Every bride knows that the happiest day of your life comes after a week of absolute madness. There are a million things to do and never enough time to do them.
Breathe girl. You’re going to make it through the week. We’re going to go through 7 things bridal week will throw at you and have you surfing the chaos like a pro.
1. You’ll want to lose weight
Whoever decided that a bride needs to look her absolute skinniest on her wedding day has a lot of explaining to do. Everyone wants to look their best on their big day, and you’ll do that by eating healthier, not by eating less.
Restructure your diet so that you’re eating healthy and wholesome foods. This will help give you clearer skin and a happier, healthier glow.
2. You'll want to change your hairstyle
Don’t. Getting a new hairdo is a big move. Brides can often feel like they need to make some major cosmetic change before their wedding because they aren’t satisfied with how they look.
Instead, refresh your current look. Treat yourself to a spa day and a cut and color, you’ve earned it. Make sure you are looking like the best version of yourself, but most importantly, make sure you are looking like yourself.
That’s who everyone is coming to see.
3. Someone might cancel on you
Maybe it’s your florist, maybe it’s your valet service. Whoever cracks first, someone is going to. With all of the planning that goes into a wedding, something is bound to fall through the cracks.
Don’t do this by yourself. You’re going to be surrounded with a village of people who want your day to be perfect. Lean on them and you’ll get through the scheduling hurdles.
4. Stress is going to build up
I don’t care who you are, getting married is stressful. With so much to do and so much to figure out, the anticipation alone is enough to push some people over the limit. Don’t panic. Get a massage.
Nothing is more relaxing than a nice full body massage and a mani/pedi before your wedding day. Take some of your gals with you and forget about your nuptial woes for an afternoon. You’ll be glad you did.
5. You're going to be too busy for sleep
No actually, you aren’t. Maintaining a healthy sleep schedule is extremely important if you want to look healthy and well-rested on your big day and girl, it’s good for you.
Take time for yourself. Making sure that you get the best sleep before your wedding will help you conquered everything else on this list and is one of the most important things for you to focus on.
6. You're going to second guess yourself
It’s natural and we have all been there. Take some time to speak with those closest to you, especially your partner. Remind yourself why this is a great decision and something that you want.
Most of all, be honest with yourself. This is your life and you deserve to be happy.
7. You're going to cry
This is kind of cheating on my part. Crying isn’t a mistake, but it’s likely to happen at least once during the week.
So go get a good spot and cry. Let your emotions out in a healthy way so that they can turn into outbursts and mistakes on your big day.
