Are you recently engaged and feeling stuck on where to take your engagement photos? Bellagala is here to help! We have compiled a list of our top photographer's favorite spots to shoot at in the Twin Cities area. Take a look and let us know what your favorite spot is!

1. Hansen Tree Farm

Get cozy with your fiance among the gorgeous trees and landscape of the Hansen Tree Farm. This is the perfect location for couples that love the outdoors and a location that is even more beautiful in the wintertime!

2. Stone Arch Bridge

There is nothing more "Minnesotan" than The Stone Arch Bridge. The stunning architecture and unique buildings create a timeless and unique backdrop for your photos. The best time to go here is during off-peak hours so there aren't a lot of photo bombers - but regardless of the time - it's going to be beautiful!

3. Downtown Stillwater

Historic Downtown Stillwater is perfect for couples that love that quaint Minnesota city style. Take a walk down the street, pose on top of the hill overlooking the river, stop for some sweet ice cream kisses... Stillwater looks gorgeous in all seasons!

4. Minnehaha Falls

A jaw-dropping location for Minnesota couples. Waterfall, gorgeous foliage, stunning sidewalks and pretty pavilions... what more could you ask for? If you're feeling adventurous, take the walk to get closer to the waterfall to add some extra drama to your session.

5. Boom Island Park

A uniquely stunning Minneapolis park with the best views around. You can feel as though you are in the city and in nature all at once - the perfect combination, in our opinion! The park sits along the Mississippi River and offers many possibilities for the best shots for your session.

6. Lake Como | Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

If you haven't taken a stroll around Lake Como or visited the Hamm Memorial Waterfalls - you should! This is a perfect location for engagement sessions with a wide variety of backgrounds to take advantage of - the lake, a small waterfall, the gorgeous gate seen below. You can also take a short drive up to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory for the rest of your shoot or for great winter/indoor photos!

7. Saint Anthony Main

The Saint Anthony Main area in Minneapolis boasts another stunning view of the Minneapolis skyline, the Mississippi River, unique buildings and cobblestone streets. This location is great for couples who like a mixture of textures, love the city yet still want that pop of color from trees and leaves. Extra brave? Take a little trip down the hill to get to a concrete slab that's the perfect pedestal for posing... seen below!

8. University of Northwestern

A college campus may not be the first location that comes to mind when you think of your engagement pictures, but I'm sure the photos below will help you make your decision. The University of Northwestern offers a combination of nature and old brick architecture that are sure to wow your friends and family.

10. Your Venue!

(Featured below: Bavaria Downs - 3919 Bavaria Rd, Chaska, MN 55318)

If your venue allows, taking photos there creates a unique opportunity to have a practice session for your big day! We've seen countless couples that have visited their venue and the surrounding areas for their engagement session. Fun, side-by-side comparison photo, anyone?
