Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Maine by American and German parents, Karl's global perspective was shaped early through travel and creativity—two values that continue to define his work today.
After studying Music and Business in New Orleans, Karl fell in love with the art of photography. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a full-time pursuit, leading him into the worlds of commercial, wedding, and photojournalistic photography. Inspired by the vibrant culture, music, and architecture of New Orleans, Karl discovered his passion for documenting authentic moments that tell meaningful stories.
